The Open Application is designed for:

1. Campus Directors and Organizing Committee Members: Participation in Local Competitions is not permitted for this group, but the Open Application provides as the only alternative path to compete in the Hult Prize.
2. Startups without a Local Competition on campus: The Open Application is available to startups unable to access a Local Competition. Participation in the Open Application is not permitted for startups that could have participated in or have already taken part in an OnCampus Program. Similarly, startups accepted through the Open Application cannot join an OnCampus Program.

Eligible Open Application Applicants

• Students enrolled in a degree-seeking university program without access to a Local Competition on their campus
• Campus Directors and Organizing Committee Members, as they are not eligible to compete in a Local Competition.
• Teams should consist of 2 to 4 members. Teams may consist of students from different universities but must represent one university. At least one team member must be enrolled at the chosen university. Teams participating through the online application will be asked to select which university they will represent when they register.
• All participants must be 18 years of age by 2/28/2025.

Open Application Registration Process

• All startups must register through our Competitor Registration Form. This form is the same for startups competing in their Local Competition and those following the open application path.
• After completing the Pre-Registration Form, startups will receive an email with further instructions.
