Dear Entrepreneurs,

On behalf of all of us here at Hult Prize, congratulations! We are so proud of what you have already accomplished and can’t wait to see you present your idea on an even bigger stage.

Every year, tens of thousands of young people from colleges and universities across the world come together through the Hult Prize to think big, be bold, and work hard towards solving some of humanity’s biggest challenges. We believe in the power of young people to create positive change in the world.

At Hult Prize, we have spent more than a decade helping students reimagine the future of business through social entrepreneurship. You are joining a global community of changemakers, thinking differently about how to achieve our goals as a global community.

Today, our program operates in nearly one hundred countries and provides opportunities for you to learn valuable skills related to pitching, creating business plans, marketing, and more.

None of this would be possible if it weren’t for our global staff, our phenomenal Campus Directors, along with our thousands of students’ workforce. Please join me in thanking them!

Keep practising your presentation, and once the summit begins, HAVE FUN talking about your business! Thank you for joining us.

Warm regards,

Lori van Dam

Dear Startups,

The world is changing rapidly and dramatically. New challenges to our businesses, our families, and the State are posed by population growth, the aging of many nations, climate change, the integration of certain societies and the disintegration of others, the exponential intervention of technology in our lives, the scarcity of natural resources for a larger but yet more sustainable society, the challenges to democracies and the temptations of totalitarianism, and also new forms of access to information and new ways of studying.

In the face of such challenges, ISEG nowadays assumes that it is a school where its faculty and students, supported by its non-faculty staff, are the basis for teaching and research that is based on ethical, innovative, and entrepreneurial principles, from which three key pillars rise: sustainability, internationalization, and service to society.

Bearing all this in mind, I have no doubt that the coming years are going to be fascinating!
