You have the flexibility to choose between recruiting an Organizing Committee or Seeking Support from your University; or ideally, pursuing both options.

The Organizing Committee

The Organizing Committee consists of at least three students from your university who will assist you in hosting an OnCampus Program. We recommend including students from different programs and years of study, as well as selecting team members with diverse skill sets and a cooperative mindset.

Recommended Roles in an Organizing Committee

Campus Director

Deputy Campus Director

Startups Team

Judges & Experts Team

Events Team

Marketing and Communications

Partnerships & Sponsorships

We recommend appointing a team leader for each department to oversee the work of its team members.

Seek Support from your University

Seeking support from your university involves engaging key stakeholders within the institution. It has become evident that programs receiving university support are more likely to complete a successful OnCampus Program.

Recommended Institutional Support

  1. Administrative Support: Collaborate with university administrators for guidance on logistics, venue arrangements, and necessary administrative approvals to host successful events.
  2. Faculty Engagement: Partner with university faculty members who can act as mentors, advisors, or judges for the competition. Their expertise can also help integrate the Hult Prize challenge into academic curricula or extracurricular activities.
  3. Student Body: Engage with student organizations and leaders to promote events, recruit participants, and manage logistics efficiently.
  4. Financial Resources: Seek funding opportunities or grants from the university to support event logistics, prizes, and promotional activities.
  5. Facilities and Equipment: Utilize university facilities such as auditoriums, classrooms, and meeting spaces for hosting workshops, team meetings, and the Local Competition. Access to audiovisual equipment and technical support can significantly enhance the event's quality.
  6. Networking Opportunities: Leverage the university's alumni network and industry connections to secure mentors, judges, and sponsors. These connections can also provide valuable insights and support for participants.
  7. Promotion: Work with the university’s Communications Office to publicize the program through official university channels, newsletters, and social media platforms.
  8. Compliance & Recognition: Ensure the program complies with university policies and regulations to gain official recognition, enhancing the credibility and visibility of the Hult Prize at your university.
